The 9th RTSI Forum provides an excellent opportunity for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers engaged in innovative research with the potential to create a positive socio-economic impact to participate in a research contest.
This competition is a unique platform for emerging researchers to present their work and showcase its value beyond academia. Whether the research addresses challenges in smart cities, healthcare, environmental sustainability, energy and transportation, technological advancement, cybersecurity, or any other field with transformative potential, we are eager to hear from researchers whose projects tackle real-world issues and contribute to societal and economic progress.
Participants will have the chance to gain visibility, receive feedback from experts, and compete for awards that recognize research excellence and real-world relevance.
Who Should Apply?
- PhD students: If you are pursuing a PhD and believe your research has significant socio-economic benefits, we encourage you to participate in this competition.
- Postdoctoral researchers: If you are a Post-PhD researcher working on innovative projects with the potential to drive positive change, we invite you to join this competition.
How to Apply?
To participate in this Innovation for Research Impact Competition, submit a brief summary of your research project (maximum 2 pages, in English) via EDAS platform: link. The summary should highlight the researcher’s status (PhD student or Postdoctoral researcher), the project’s context, contributions, and socio-economic impacts.
An evaluation committee will review all abstracts. Selected abstracts will have the privilege of submitting an extended version as a short paper (typically 4 pages in standard IEEE two-column format) for the RTSI proceedings. Additionally, the authors of selected abstracts should present their work within 5 minutes in front of a panel of judges and an attentive audience. An evaluation committee will rank the research projects and presentations, granting two awards: one for the best PhD student research work and one for the best Post-PhD research work.
